Time does fly...it's almost end of January 2012...can u believe it? But I'm looking forward for February actually becauseeeeeeeee....more public holidays....:)

But today's post are more about some of the things that I love...around me...for example...I just love the view from my bedroom's window....

the shells wind chime outside my window in the morning

and during the mid day....hot hot hot outside :)

and when the sun almost setting down....

the same spots...but with different looks....which do u like most? :)

I love nature...I'm sure you know that I adore islands trip, all those lovely sandy beaches and wherever I go , I would just love cruising around (driving, riding bicycle or even walking) with shady trees along the road. Where I stay have my favorite spots (except no sandy beach hehehe) that I get the chance to drive through almost every weekend...

Same shady trees..but differents spots :)

And this is my favourite yarn shop ....about 10 minutes drive from where I stay..

One of my favourite wind chime.....in my room...my husband has the passion to re-arrange all the wind chimes....I miss count of the locations hehehhe

And last but not least...my favourite jewellery box( i rather not open it...you'll be suprised! ) hehhehe...favourite coaster next to it, favourite mug and big comb hehhehe (mind the price tag...hahahhaha)

I'm sure you have your love things....sometimes it may be small to others...but to you...it's precious! :)

Filling the 1st of January 2012 with crochet hats...pink, blue and yellow...strong bright colors....the weather seems to be getting hotter and hotter...less rain which makes you feel so dry and thirsty...I can't help myself from drinking ice water all the time which I know it's not good for my throat hehehhe...plus ice cream (Magnum Classic please , oh yesss! ) to cool down by body (yeah rite!).

Hmmm....it's the 1st weekend of Jan 2012 ....can't wait for another 4 days of Chinese New Year holidays...yeay!Enjoy your weekend peeps!

2011 is ending...tomorrow is my last day of working in 2011....need to clear my leave balance or else it's going to be considered 'burned' :)...not sure where I want to spend my holidays...probably just lazing around.....crocheting or maybe checking out few eateries for food review...or maybe lazing around near a beach in this rainy season...heheh not a good idea huh? So ...what about you guys...any plans for the new year eve...maybe go and see fireworks display in the city , having good dinner somewhere ....or just watching the TV ...munching snacks? :)....whatever you do...2011 is ending soon......enjoy the time with your loved ones :)

School holiday is going to end sooonnnnnnnnnnn.....same goes with year 2011. Phewwww, just came back from short holiday with my nephews at one of the waterpark ...splash, splash, splash plus the raining season hehehehhe. Anyway, had fun but the weather really makes me wanna catch cold and fever...but hey! gonna start thinking of next year's plans- want I want to achieve, do, enjoy and what bad habits and improvement than I need to pursue :) So start your thinking cap ready, scribble some of your thoughts and soon you'll be ready to start the journey :)

Don't you love the raining season sometimes...the air is cool and fresh, the plants look more greener, windy and breezy....and you can just relax , doing your whatever things you are doing....listening to the rain drops...outside the window...

Just finished some flowers ...arranged them closely in a box

And once finished....arranged them in different ways...hahahahhahaha

School holiday starts today....so I'm sure all parents have some plans for their kids. Myself and hubby are also thinking of bringing my nephews for a short trip....but not sure of the destination yet.

Cough cough cough.....it's the season...the whole family are coughing like crazy .....the house is like a pharmacy , full of medication pills, cough syrups etc....oh dear, the raining season does play its role , contributing to unhealthy condition...but if there's no rain, the heat will other problem too....oh well.

It's almost approaching November and 2 months to go for year 2011 to end. Time does fly ...so fast. Looking back from early 2011 till now, I think there were few things that I managed to complete/achieve such as :

1. Go for a vacation to any of Islands that I've not been to -
Result : Managed to go to Tioman

2. Buy a camera so that I take better photos of my crafts/etc
Result : Managed to buy a simple digi camera that was on offer at groupon

3. Start brushing my baking/cooking skill....for own satisfaction/self

improvement and business (maybe! hehehhe)

Result : Only managed to start this in mid October- need to bake more

and more hehhehe(see photos below for evidences hahahahhaa

4. Save my crafty business's profit

Result : This is quite hard to achieve, still struggling to do some saving :)

5. Spend more time with my mom , treat her and pamper her during weekends

Result : So far, I did try my best to spare my time for her every

Sunday...take her to where ever she wants to go....mostly within Klang

Valley only hehe...

6. Control my temper

Result : Hmmm.....still working on this hhhehehehhehe especially with

annoying people :)

7. Do better in crocheting

Result : Now I can crochet hats...with the help of my dear crochet

friends worldwide :)

I guess these are just few things that I can think of today..I'm sure by end of the end, there'll be more things to ponder :)

Hi Everybody!!!! How's the weekend? Mine was great...and productive I might say hehehehe. Enjoyed the crocheting blissfully and fasting was never been wonderful...feel refresh and healthy :)

Sunday morning was full with yarns and buttons......all over :)

Tried to capture me in action...with one hand...hehehehehe

Almost done ....except for gluing the brooch pins......time flies so fast :)

Hello world! Wow....it's been almost 2 weeks huh? No post, no nothing..why oh why? Maybe I was a bit hooked up with watching JP & Ashley of The Bachelorette Season 7 lately plus I'm totally addicted watching French movie..with English sub-titles of course. There's something about French movie, the scenery, the actors, the language..lovely!

Talking about lovely, I've capture few photos of these lovely blooming flowers at my porch.

And I did promise last time that I will post the below pattern. Hope the pattern is clear enough for all to see.I think it's quite simple, don't you think?

Starts with magic ring or 4 chains.

Round 1 : Do 8 single crochets then slip stitch.

Round 2 : Slip stitch on 1st single crochet , next do 8 chain. Continues with 4 double crochets and a single crochet. Go to next single crochet , slip stitch and repeat the 8 chain and so forth until you have 8 petals.

Lastly, slip stitch and fastern the yarn.

I hope my steps are correct. Feel free to comment if any k.

Done a simple stripey hat..

Went to Penang during the weekend with a friend...great time, great company, great food.. :) Since it was girl trip, my honey had to be left at home hehehhe...oh well, it's kinda fun going out once a while with friend...kinda wild don't you think even though most of the agenda were eating, food, eating, food hehehhe.. bye-bye Penang, hope to be there again..Photo below was taken at a nearby jetty namely Teluk Tempoyak..the seafood were EXCELLENT :)

Friends, Tea and New Flower

Had a great weekend with friends. We had cakes and teas plus lots of gossips :) And it's kinda boost up my idea on crocheting , making new flower based on a book that I bought few months back.

Hi everyone...a week with no post kinda make me feel a bit left behind in the blogger world...but hey...I'm still around...doing my things here and there, great weekend even though I was mainly at home hehehe.Not forgetting my yarns and needles...accompanying me while I'm surfing or watching TV...fun rite? :)

Not satisfied with the quality of the photos but still , it's better than not having one :) How I wish I can have a good quality camera for my craft , not that I'm complaining of what I have now (which is only a hp camera) but hey! a girl can dreams rite? :) It's always delightful to see other great bloggers snap great photos and sharing what they love here. Hectic week plus recovering mode from flu etc...not forgetting the school holidays chaos with my lovely nephews around , sleeping over , playing computer games bla bla bla...my life was GREAT :)

Just to compare the yarn (in grey) that I bought from http://www.aheys.com/ with the yarn (nona) that I normally use. The grey yarn is much more easy to use and lovely as flower , to my opinion.

And for a bit of a show-off moment hehehe, here's the latest collection of my yarn and buttons :)

Notice the purple yarn? I got it from a swap thing at swap workshop, lovely yarn I might say! It's made from merino wool and bamboo....and it's so soft and silky , makes me feel hesitate to use it :)

My oh my! Such a hot weather for me in Shah Alam, I'm not sure about others....but I had the most sweaty weekends! The temperature was so high and I could not even want to go outside . Even staying inside the house was like exercising since you could feel the rising heat from the sun, I could not remember how many time I took my baths hehhehe. How I wish for the heavy rain...to ease the heat ....

Back to my never ending crafty things... during my hot sunny weekend :)

Crohet flower using multi-colour yarn - cotton bali (bought the yarn from http://pu3craft.blogspot.com/)....this yarn is soft and easy to use...i'm luvin it...mind the small flaw on the flower heheheh.

Let's see how it looks on the white crochet hat....what'ya think? Mind the simple hat design heheheh

Just to show off the whole yarn and type of crochet hook (I use the upper hook -saiz 03/04 to do the flower and the lower hook- saiz 05/06 for the hat).

Phewww!!! Almost a week with no post. Not that I'm not in the mood of posting, it's just that I'm a bit tight up with daily tasks and a bit of completing the crochet orders. Been out with a crafter friend to check out few craft supplies nearby, luckily it was not during pay day for I will surely stuff myself with crochet yarns, buttons etc hehehhe

Anyway...a sneak peak with small small things that I'm doing...few practices on new patterns, still struggling on creating new designs unlike my other beloved crafters out there who are always fresh with ideas and cool creations.

I'm also waiting for my new blog template to be designed plus my new call-card. I'm excited already ! :) Will definitely share them with you guys .

Mean time, seat back, relax, enjoy your life....always be grateful with what's given to us :)

It's good to enjoy the holidays just by staying at home, relaxing, cooking what you want to eat , watching the tv and not to rush doing things since it's holiday hehe. But it will all end soon..things will be back to normal next Monday..arghhhhhhhh..how I wish it never ends :(

It's raining season... good excuse to sleep and lazing around,just look at my productivity hehhehehe.

I'm not taking any extra leave for the Chinese New Year festive. Thought of saving my leaves for any ad-hoc event. I'm sure many out there will be going for holidays with family. PVC Pencil Case - Blue

Guess what....this time , my pencil case has a special touch...none other than my beloved nephew. Danial loves to draw whenever he's free. I love seeing his cartoon sketches and I think he can go further :) So since he has requested me to do a pencil case using the pvc material, I asked him to do the design cause I'm a bit lazy to draw hehhehe. And this is what he did...he drew what he wanted on felt and cut them himself..so dear auntie would only need to glue it on the PVC..smart eh? heheheh

Crochet Flower Coaster

Hello world! Wow...it's been a week since my last post...been tight up with office work and by night time, I would be extremely tired to do anything (another excuse hehehe).

Anyway, after all the excuses , I managed to omplete this little coaster of mine, fits just nice for my cup of coffee or even to place your personal things such as your watch, brooches etc. And to top it off, I just added a double crochet flower. Oh yes, just to show off my new Gingham button ...love the button design :)

It's mid of January already but I still can't help myself from being lazy to go to work. That is not good, Rafidah...really..not good at all :)

Double Flowers Headbands

Thought of doing something different for the headbands..not much different actually, just added another flower instead of normal single flower on top of it.

Come to think of it, two is better than one huh? hehehhehe

2011 starts with quite a busy one for me especially at the office. Embarking of new projects, paperwork of this and that. I can't wait for the next public holidays. At this busy-bee time period, I would definitely feel envy of my crafter friends who are homemakers , having the chance to be at home during daytime. I know that staying at home also requires hard work ..with the never ending house chores etc but then ...you can take a nap whenever you want hehehhe. Oh well... I guess I just have to be patient and go through the days...with crafting ideas in my mind, having to do what I love during my past time, I must be grateful :)

Brother & Sister Pencil Cases

Cool idea from beloved auntie to her niece and nephew in Johor...asking me to make pencil cases for them and directly shipped to them before their birthdays ....so lovely ! And thank goodness I managed to complete these on time...and those joyful kids were happy to receive such parcels from the dear postman hehehhe...small gifts but MEANINGFUL meaning from their aunt.

Sometimes, it's not the size or value of the present but the thought that counts rite? Even a wish from a friend on any of your special day would gives a great meaning especially from closed friends/loved ones :)

Pastel Vs Bright Colours :)

Kinda fun and exciting to see these arrangement of colours , lying and curling on the table hehehhe. But when it comes to make them completed...pheww...it take ages (due to my slow pace hehehe). I'm sure some of other crocheters can just finish these in a short of time but sometimes I really need to have the mood, the energy and of coz the strength of my eyesight to finish them :) Told you I have good excuses hehheheh. Ok , let's talk about these headbands. Some of the orders are just plain simple headbands requested by the buyers. Probably, they have other ideas to decorate the headbands which I think you can do so many creations with these plain crocheted headbands...you can add beads, ribbons, cool buttons or even artificial flowers on it. Your creativity can turn them into lovable, cute headbands for kids and even adults :)

Tiny Weeney Flowers Crochet

I've been wanting to do this for quite a while. But due to time constraint plus office work, housework, orders bla bla bla***excuse ;-) ...at last I managed to try out these lovable tiny weeney flowers. And once I started, it was so difficult to stop ehehehhe, simpley because I love seeing them getting more and more in the box . Now I have another excuse to delay other orders muahahahahhahahaha...

Anyway... these flowers are easy to make..but I found that using Minlon yarn was so much easier than NONA , I think due to the smooth and softness of the yarn but still it's so much fun and once you're on to it, you will tend to be more faster crocheting them. You can do lots of creation with these cuties huh?
